Worship

We are the objects of God’s love – until we understand this, life won’t make much sense. Psalm 149:4 says, ‘The Lord takes pleasure in His people.’

Those of us who are parents share a little of God’s pleasure when we watch our children and grandchildren grow. We love to see them responding positively to the challenges and opportunities of life. Nothing puts a smile on the face of a parent more than when they see their children succeed.

(God), “Have you seen my servant, Job?”

The greatest thing that we can know in life is that God loves us and the greatest thing that we can do is to return His love – which brings God pleasure.

The word we most commonly use for loving God – bringing Him pleasure is - ‘worship’. ERCC is a worshipping community, where anyone is most welcome to join our family in expressing their love and commitment to God.

Worship isn’t primarily for you or me – it’s what we do for God. The priority of our worship services at Evans Road Church is to bring glory and pleasure to God, through our collective life and witness.

(Jesus) “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:35.

The Bible teaches us that worship is not just something we do with our lips, it’s what we do with our life.

Paul wrote; “…because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer.” Romans 12:1.

If you want your life to count for something that lasts forever – find out what pleases God and do it and you will find it immensely rewarding.
